Twitter CEO Elon Musk is back with new updates to the microblogging platform, and this time the iconic blue bird logo that served as the web version's home button is a nod to the "Doge" of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.

On Monday, Twitter users spotted the "Dog" meme, part of the Dogecoin blockchain, on Twitter's web version, as well as the cryptocurrency's logo, which was created as a joke in 2013.

Musk shared a hilarious post on his account where he was replaced by a "dog" (Shiba Inu face) meme in a car and a police officer who appeared to be checking his driver's license.

But, there was no change on Twitter's mobile app.

It's only fitting that the image of the dog (Shiba Inu), better known as the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency logo, was created as a joke in 2013 to poke fun at other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Variety reports.

The Twitter CEO also shared a screenshot of a conversation with an anonymous user account on March 26, 2022. where the latter was asking to change the bird logo to "doge." Sharing this post on Twitter, Musk wrote, "As promised."

According to Variety, Musk, who bought Twitter last fall for $44 billion, gave a live stream Saturday night. Dogecoin rose more than 20 percent after Twitter changed its weblog on Monday.

In March 2022, before making a successful bid to buy Twitter, Musk tweeted: “Twitter is a de facto public forum, and failure to respect free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy. What should be done?" Musk wrote on Twitter.

@WSBChairman replied, "Buy Twitter and change the bird logo to Doge." Musk replied, "Haha that would sick".

He also posted another photo with the caption, "Take the production meme."

On Feb. 15, Musk's love for "Doge" was sparked after he posted a photo of the blockchain and cryptocurrency Dogecoin's logo with the CEO's name on his account with the caption "Twitter's new CEO is awesome."
